The current services offered are a guideline and if you are interested in any help that DogPsyche UK could provide which is not listed here, please get in touch to discuss.
This is the top level service for dogs that have been exhibiting problem or persistent behaviours for a prolonged length of time. ALL aggression cases must be covered by a full behavioural consultation.
This service includes the following:
Essential 2 hour personal session on handling and basic training in the client’s home specifically designed for puppies that have not yet received their full vaccination protection. Absolutely vital information and guidance provided to new puppy owners in order to give their puppy a solid foundation in life. It is recommended that this consultation is taken as early as possible after the new puppy arrives in the home.
Subjects covered include:
Microchipping can also be included for the unbeatable price of £15.00 including many benefits; see the Microchipping page for more details.
This type of consultation is for more basic training problems such as pulling on the lead, sitting on command, recall and self-control training. These are held in a public area such as a country park.
We work for approximately 60-90 minutes on assessment, handling & training techniques and dog/human interaction and communication. We then sit down and go over all of the subjects covered, where I will also give you written documentation wherever possible to read and keep for future reference.
A supply of very small (baby's fingernail sized) pieces of food that your dog does not normally have. Suggestions include grated cheese, very thinly sliced frankfurter sausages, corned beef. They have to be exceptionally small so as to not upset the dog's digestion and to provide a very quick reinforcement.
Two of your dog's favourite toys. Please ensure that your dog has not had access to them for at least 24 hours before the consultation.
If you have a video camera or mobile phone with video capability and someone available to film the session for you this is invaluable for you to be able to view after the session and keep for future reference. Likewise, if you can video some of the problem behaviours before the consultation so that I can view them, this will also be very useful for me to be able to help you.
On the day of the consultation please keep to your normal routine as much as possible with the exception of a slightly smaller breakfast and shorter morning exercise period.
Supervised Walk Clubs held throughout North West Kent.
A unique re-think on how we train our dogs...
Puppy classes and adult dog training classes held in small, crowded vilage halls are a thing of the past!
This type of training does not adequately prepare handlers or their dogs for life in the real world, i.e. the dog listens in class but cannot produce the same concentration at any other time.
The Supervised Walk Clubs have been designed to address these issues and are more representative of the world we expect our dogs to live in.
A block of four concurrent sessions is only £18.00. Missed sessions cannot be refunded. Sessions cancelled due to inclement weather are not charged.
As the work is in a public space, handlers are responsible for their dogs AT ALL TIMES.
Only one dog per handler per session.
An assessment is necessary before a dog can join a walk club. It may be necessary for you and your dog to undertake further individual training sessions before being able to join.
Please see the page (below) dedicated to these clubs for more information and photos.
This is a unique service for prospective puppy buyers, adopters and devoted owners.
